The Zeusophobia Set-up

Zeusophobia, the fear of God

This is how I displayed my piece. I wanted it to look inviting and very colorful. It turned out exactly like I wanted- kids and parents alike were drawn to it and eventually all the suckers, which were free to anyone who wanted one, was all gone. I was surprised by this because I added somethings that mimic the falsities of religion but people bit anyway. (Also in the platter is a crown, scepter with a snake, lots of catholic gold crosses, and a bunch of colorful Tums.)

It reads “Please take a sweet, yummy lollipop. It is FREE because I love you and would do anything for you. Enjoy and remember, its FREE!*”

in very small print underneath it says “Nothing in this world is free, everything comes with some type of cost.” Most people I saw never read the small print and just reached for a sucker.

It reads “John 6:54- Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” THEN- in very small print underneath it says, “By eating this you hereby forfeit all claims to your own soul, body, and mind; and shall forever more become the soul spiritual property of The Christ, or an affiliate under his servitude- with all the privileges and restrictions set forth within that heavenly body. You may revoke this contract at anytime by going to Hell.”
