The Madness of the God King

The Madness of the God King by Ben Riddlebarger

I once saw a photograph on Facebook a couple years ago with a strong man in a swim suit pushing his friend in a wheelchair toting assault rifles and they were both happy and seemed to not have a care in the world. It was so strange and weird that of course I needed to draw it.

I based this drawing off of that. It morphed into a religious satire of this crazy world we currently are living in.

You can take it anyway you want…

Catching Dinner

Catching DinnerI drew this on Memorial Day. It was a stormy one and I ended up staying in on a day off. I was originally going to draw Austin Powers riding a Tyrannosaurus from a photo I had taken. Instead this came to life and I could not be more happy.  I would love if this inspires someone to write a short story inspired by this. If it does, I would love if you shared it with me.

Here is the picture I took that started this for me. Can you see the similarities?Oh Behave

Venturing into different areas. Making tacky lamps…

Here are some tacky lamps I have been putting together to kill some time and keep my mind busy. These have been fun and I can see me making a bunch more. If you like any of them, message me at briddlebarger@gmail.com and let me know what you want and what not. I like them but I can see why they wouldn’t be for everyone 😉

I will post more as I make them. If this inspires you to make some please drop me a line and let me see what you’ve made. Cheers!

Keep creating everyone!

Drawing Bible Verses- Daniel in the Lion’s Den- Daniel 6

Daniel in the lion's den

Daniel 6:16-23  The King gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel’s situation might not be changed…

At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?”

Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he calmed the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

The king was overjoyed and gave orders to let Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was led from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.
